For Candidates

The Clevid test client for Windows.

Install it when your invitation asks you to. It runs only during your assessment and stops when you submit. You will need the one-time code from your invitation email.

  • Supported operating systemWindows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
  • Required hardwarePhysical webcam, microphone & single display
  • macOS supportIn development (contact your recruiter if Mac-only)
01

Before the test

Checks your camera and microphone, looks for virtual devices, remote sessions and extra displays, and shows you what will be recorded. Nothing starts until you press Start.

02

During the test

Keeps the test window in front, blocks other apps, overlays, screen sharing and the clipboard, and records your webcam and microphone. Your answers save as you go.

03

After you submit

Lockdown is released, a receipt shows what was accessed, and the client stops. Video and audio are never saved to your disk, and you can uninstall the client like any other app.

Read Before Installing

You may see this Windows SmartScreen prompt.

Windows SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC” for installers that are new. It is a download-volume reputation check, not a malware detection.

Step 01

Click “More info”

The link is below the main paragraph of the Windows dialog. Clicking it reveals the application name and publisher details.

Step 02

Confirm the app is ClevidTestClient

Verify you downloaded the installer directly from clevid.com or assets.clevid.com. If the name differs, do not proceed.

Step 03

Click “Run anyway”

The installer launches as a standard desktop application. If anything looks off, choose “Don't run” and email [email protected].
